Tokojaya's first involvement in Sabah property market was in the development and completion of the shophouse development (Damai Plaza Phase 1) in association with Sabah Urban Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SUDC) in the late 80's.
In further joint venture with SUDC, Tokojaya embarked on the comprehensive Api-Api Centre development, which includes the Promenade Hotel.
To date, 512 units of apartment with 92 units of 2-storey shops, and 11-storey office block, the 451 rooms Promenade Hotel and 2 blocks of the 12-storey Marina Court Resort Condominium (MCRC) have been completed with 2 more blocks of MCRC which are currently under construction.
Apart from the Api-Api Centre development, Tokojaya have also completed the Colonnade Condominium, which is 5 minutes drive from Api-Api Centre. A 12-storey highrise block together with 3 blocks of 4-storey maisonette were completed under this project.
In line with the implementation and completion of the various properties, a number of subsidiary companies were set-up to take advantage of the business synergies to focus into the hospitality, construction, property management services and property development.
