OBJECTIVE OF SHAREDA
  1. To promote and co-ordinate throughout the State the development of land and construction of buildings for residential, commercial industrial and related purposes by members with a view towards contributing effectively to the economic development of the State;

    • towards providing housing in pleasant environments for all persons of the State;

    • towards ensuring the proper development and construction of buildings for commercial and industrial purposes in pleasant environments for all persons in the State;

    • towards assisting Government and its agencies in securing a proper distribution of units of the above categories of building to reflect the multi-racial character of the State;

    • towards ensuring the creation of better and wider opportunities of employment in the building industry.

  2. To promote measures aimed at securing improvement pertaining to the techniques and methods of the development of land and construction of buildings for residential, commercial, industrial and related purposes by members throughout the State.

  3. To study problems arising from the development of land and construction of building in (a) above and to discuss these with, and draw the attention of Government, through the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

  4. To protect the legitimate interests of members in particular, to enquire into and discuss with Government and its agencies on matters pertaining to policy, finance, legislation, technical standards and administrative procedures, affecting the development of land and construction of buildings specified in (a) above.

  5. To seek representation on all Government or Non-Government Organisations concerned with the development of land and construction of buildings for purposes specified in (a) above.
